There is some speculation as to whether Lil Wayne disses Gucci Mane when being interviewed by Tim Westwood out in the United Kingdom. They are talking about who made the MTV hottest rap artists list back in 2010 and he talks about Eminem not making the list and Gucci making it. At first he seems somewhat surprised when Tim Westwood says Gooch made the list because Lil Wayne looks up and seems puzzled for awhile, then smiles and says “shout out my nigga Gucci!” Some people thought that Wayne was purposely being sarcastic like that and trying to diss Gucci Mane.

However, if you’re a true fan of Gucci and even a fan of Wayne, you know that the two get down and don’t have any beef. Things can get taken out of context when you are a big superstar and the spotlight is always on, and that’s what happened here. Wayne was NOT trying to diss Gucci Mane, the two have collaborated in the past and even dropped one of the dopest street anthems to date with the track “Steady Mobbin” which was released after this interview even came out as well as the track “Bitches Wanna” on the Drank Epidemic tape.

Another fly collaboration that they did after this interview was for the track “Stupid Wild” off of Gucci Mane’s album The State vs. Radric Davis.  If you are a Lil Wayne fan, you can watch the full video if you want to listen to hear what was going on with him at the time.  There are tons of people that claim Lil Wayne has better lyricism than Gucci, but to be honest, there’s no need to start any of that type of beef.  The two each are paving their own way and in their own lane.

Does Lil Wayne Diss Gucci Mane? (VIDEO)

If you want to see Lil Wayne bring up Gucci, look near the end of the video and listen to the conversation, which starts at around 5:30 into the clip. No need to start some gossip by saying that there’s beef when there is none between these two. Wayne was surprised that Eminem wasn’t on the list and was thrown off by the fact that Tim Westwood referred to Gucci as “Gooch” with a British accent so there is speculation that Wayne didn’t even understand what he heard initially. Anyways, there are a lot of fans of both Wayne and Gucci out there that are waiting for them to link up for another classic.

ATL Uncut gets an exclusive interview with Gucci Mane and they talk about his jewelry. He talks about how he’s going to wear 30 chains at the Velvet Room and being the King of Diamonds. It was pretty hilarious that he kept saying “King of what? King of what? King of what?” and they responded “Diamonds! Diamonds! Diamonds!!!” Although this isn’t a video, it is a good interview that you should listen to. Gucci lets the people know what to expect in 2010 and lets them know that he’s going to be ballin out. Gucci also tells the people that they should bring the boose and he’ll bring the jewelry, which got a nice chuckle out of the radio host.

He showed up to the Velvet Room on Sunday just like he said he would and he was stuntin with all of his chains. You best believe that it was in fact a “Photo Shoot” just like he says in the song when he came through. The whole city of Atlanta ended up heading out to the Velvet Room that Sunday night and it was one hell of a good time.

Gucci Mane Interview Talking Velvet Room & Kings of Diamonds Mixtape (Listen)

Were you at the Velvet Room that Sunday? If you were you know what went down and how much fun it was, everybody was showin out. Once again, be sure to listen to the interview and see what Gucci has to say. He cracks a couple of hilarious jokes and is laughing for some of it. Even though it’s just a short little interview to let the city know when he was planning on stopping by the Velvet Room, it’s worth hearing if you haven’t already had a chance to listen. They keep it brief, but it’s purpose was to pretty much be a public service announcement (PSA).

You can be on the fact that the 1017 Brick Squad chain is going to be there, along with his Iced Out Bart Chain, as well as the Odie chain (representative of an iced out version of the character from the show Garfield if you didn’t know). He’s got so many chains (see: “Gucci Mane chains” for more information) and the thing is that they’re all 100% real diamonds and not fake like a lot of other rappers that you might see these days. Real chains are expensive, require real money to buy, and are actually pretty heavy (they might strain your neck if you don’t have the neck strength like Gucci does).
