The artist WALE (We Ain’t Like Everyone) from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area released the song “Pretty Girls” featuring Gucci Mane as the second single on his album entitled “Attention Deficit” which was released on November 10, 2009. The collaboration is incredibly crazy due to the fact that Gucci is one of the hottest emcees in the game, and WALE is one of the best new artists in hip hop as of 2009. This song was produced by none other than Best Kept Secret who really did a phenomenal job. The chorus features Weensey of Backyard Band and he really does it justice. The cool thing about this track is that it is mellow, yet extremely catchy and was a great single choice for Gucci.
If you do not yet have this song in your collection, you should certainly hear it out and consider adding it. The lyrics to the chorus are: “Girls, I ask em do they smoke? Ask em what do they know? Ask em can we go? Pretty girls, Sunshine in the air, perfume everywhere, Girls are everywhere.” Gucci Mane drops a bananas guest verse saying, “yeah they call me Gucci, but I might buy you Louis.” This song is an absolute must to add to add to your collection of quality rap and hip hop music.
Why did WALE reach out to Gucci Mane for this collaboration? Well, he knows that Gucci is one of the most grinding artists in the game today and has worked hard to get where he’s at. Since most of the people in the Washington DC area are big Gucci Mane supporters, he felt that it was only appropriate to get an artist that everybody likes and respects for the feature. This is surely one of the best songs on his album, although the entire project is good from start to finish.
