A classic Gucci Mane track called “Yellow Diamonds,” sometimes spelled “Yella Diamonds,” has become one of his most popular to date. The album version of the song was produced by Tra Beats (and is listed as being produced by The Headbangaz on mixtapes). This song was featured on his “Wilt Chamberlain: Part 3” mixtape that he did with DJ Rell and Trap A Holics, as well as his “Gucci La Flare mixtape” that was put out with Evil Empire. When his fans were first presented this track, they knew that it was an instant banger. It is songs like this that makes everyone want to keep Radric Davis in rotation on their playlists. Everyone knows that the instrumental for this track, along with the catchy chorus has made it a huge hit.

This song can also be found on the album “Murder Was The Case” which was released through Big Cat Records. The album version is roughly 3 minutes and 6 seconds in length, while the mixtape versions are 4 minutes (Gucci La Flare) and 3 minutes and 38 seconds (Wilt Chamberlain: Part 3). There is a variation of this song on the mixtape Gucci La Flare 2 featuring Tha Joker called “Aqua Water” with the same chorus and instrumental. Take a listen to all of the versions and see which one you prefer. This song sounds great in the ride and the chorus saying “aqua water, toilet water, pissy yellow sh*tting on ‘em, club life, club night, shawty got a hella chain, hella game, hella fame, drop top Corvette yellow mane.”

Is this one of his best tracks of all time? Well, that is completely up to fans to decide. Earlier polls revealed that the people liked his song “Bricks” the best in 2009. There are so many good tracks, that there is no need to compare this material to his other joints. He has a great ear for beats and only picks out what he thinks will have a high quality sound. Gucci Mane has some of the most catchy lyrics and choruses out of any artist in the game. If you take a listen to this track, it will likely be stuck in your head for awhile, so be prepared.

Tra Beats, The Headbangaz and Gucci La Flare really did it big with this song. If it is missing from your collection, be sure to peep his mixtapes and cop the ones that feature this joint. Since YouTube has a lot of his tracks up, you can play the video above and listen to the song. Lyrics to the opening verse from Gucci are as follows: Blues got ‘em sea sick, shawty think she seeing things, bart iced out on a skate board and he skating mane, bought me 180 mane, got these rappers hating mane, got it for Atlantic mane, bought it off my traffic game, whole lotta traffic mane, me and Mojo stacking change, came through in that yellow range, shawty gotta yellow chain.

http://www.guccmane.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

There are many Gucci Mane DVD’s that have been released throughout his career. Most of them are available for purchase online. What do these DVD’s feature? The majority of them give you a close look at his life, his environment, his friends, and places that he hangs out. They feature exclusive interviews, freestyle sessions, as well as other artists from Atlanta like Shawty Lo. There is plenty of material out if you are hungry to buy a copy of a new Gucci Mane DVD. What are the major releases that you should know about?

Definitely take the time to check out: Hood Affairs, Smack, the Glockumentary, The Come Up, Trap A Holic, as well as Hood Classics (which was released with the album). If you have followed his entire career, these DVD’s will give you Gucci Mane from a whole new perspective. They are good to watch if you want to learn more about your favorite artist and find out more about how he acts, what he thinks, and how he feels. Obviously the DVD entitled “The Come Up” shows how Gucci Mane was able to become successful. The Glockumentary DVD showcases his beef with Young Jeezy.

It’s surely cool to catch up with Gucci and hear him talk about his So Icey Entertainment label, OJ Da Juiceman, Waka Flocka Flame, Frenchie and watch him spit some freestyles straight from the top of his head. Many people hear about Gucci Mane, but don’t get the chance to fully experience the full lifestyle of Radric Davis – these DVD’s will help you acquire more knowledge about his life. Which one should you cop first? Take the time to read a description of each DVD before you actually buy it. Some DVD’s like “The Come Up” will feature other popular artists in addition to the So Icey Entertainment CEO.

Gucci Mane Glockumentary DVD

Some of the DVD’s will take you back to the days when Gucci was affiliated with Big Cat Records, while others will be strictly So Icey. The great thing about most of these documentaries of his life is that they are fairly cheap. You can order one online for less than $20, and have a lot of Gucci Mane footage. If you would like a sample of any full length DVD, just do some searching on YouTube and you will find what you were looking for. Above is a sample of the “Glockumentary DVD,” which showcases his beef with Young Jeezy.

Radric Davis, who goes by the stage name “Gucci Mane,” was born on February 2, 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama, but moved to East Atlanta Georgia; Zone 6. Radric chose his stage-name “Gucci mane” based off his father’s nickname “Gucci Man,” who was a hustler. He had been living with a single mother and first began recording music at the young age of fourteen years. Though Gucci had really loved to write poetry at a young age, he had gotten especially excited and passionate about creating rap music after seeing artists like Big Daddy Kane achieve success.

He formerly worked with Big Cat Records who provided him with studio time and helped release his records. Big Cat discovered Gucci while they were doing time in jail together. Gucci let loose a crazy freestyle and Big Cat understood that he had a lot of talent. They started by promoting his single “Black Tee,” which garnered Gucci a lot of attention from radio stations and club DJ’s.

He even got a lot of calls from record labels hoping to sign him. Even though Radric “Gucci Mane” Davis has parted with Big Cat, he still respects the studio time, hustle, and stardom that was achieved together. Since moving on from Big Cat Records, Gucci has developed his own lineup of artists affiliated with his self-established “So Icey Entertainment” label that include: OJ Da Juiceman, Zaytoven, Wooh Da Kid, Frenchie, Waka Flocka Flame, and Chilla Pertilla.

Gucci has not had an easy time staying free of legal trouble throughout his rap career. On the date of May 10, 2005, men tried to attack Gucci and steal his trademark So Icey chain. The men trying to steal Gucci’s chain were quickly shot at by Gucci’s clique out of self-defense. It only took a few short days before people found out that there was an arrest warrant that had been issued for Gucci Mane.

Gucci Mane ended up turning himself into police investigators on May 19, 2005. Around the date of December 30, 2005, police let people know that there was not enough evidence to form a case against Gucci for a murder charge. Gucci Mane was however not done with his legal trouble. Shortly thereafter, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and having an unlicensed gun on the exact day before that his debut album “Trap House” was scheduled to be released.

The police department of Georgia dropped the charges against Gucci Mane in January 2006 because they didn’t have solid evidence to prove him guilty. He left prison that same month on charges that were unrelated. A couple years later on July 23, 2008, Gucci was pulled over by officers just outside of the Atlanta area during a scheduled traffic stop. The police found that marijuana was in his car and he faced the drug charges.

On September 14, 2008, Gucci faced on year in jail because he violated the terms of his probation. After the violation of probation, he did time for over one year in jail. The police reported that Gucci did not do enough community service to get himself out of the situation. In 2009, Gucci Mane was finally released from jail after what seemed to be too long of a wait for his fans. Ever since getting freed, Gucci Mane has collaborated with superstar musicians like Mario, Mariah Carey, and Lil Wayne. He has also released the mixtape “Writing On The Wall” with his in-house So Icey Entertainment producer, Zaytoven.

As of 2009, Gucci Mane is preparing to release a new album for his fans. His mixtape buzz actually grew during the recent year that he spent in jail for the probation violation. He is set to be releasing a new mixtape called “Guccitendo” as well as another official mixtape called “Guccimania” which will have some of his hottest singles. He is currently affiliated and signed with Warner Bros. Records and is promoting his “So Icey Entertainment” label as well. Due to the fact that Gucci Mane has a work-ethic that is unparalleled right now in the game, he will continue to gain popularity and appeal to a wider range of audiences.
