Gucci Mane – BURR (Remix) f. Ya Boy (prod. Drumma Boy)
The coldest artist in Atlanta, Georgia these days is clearly Gucci Mane. One song to emphasize his coldness is called “BURR” and can be found on his “Gangsta Grillz: The Movie 2” mixtape that he did with DJ Drama. The instrumental was crafted by none other than Drumma Boy, who always brings something dope to the scene. Everybody knows that the BURR movement is so cold that it’s never going to be stopped. This song demonstrates a So Icey Entertainment invasion. For a remix, the west coast artist Ya Boy (a.k.a. YB The Rockstar) hopped on and brought some heat as well. All of Gucci’s original verses were left on the track, so there are not any new verses from Gucci, but Ya Boy does his thing.
The song starts out, “So much ice, I shoulda brought my fur BURR!” which clearly explains how cold and So Icey he is. Ya Boy takes the time to add some of his own lines to the song like: “diamonds roarin like T-Rex.” This remix is not an official one, because if it would have, Gucci would have likely came up with some new lyrical content. It is always good to see other artists getting down with the So Icey Entertainment movement, though. This goes to show you that other artists respect the music that Radric Davis has been putting out.
Arguably the hottest adlib in the rap game these days is “BURR.” Now, Gucci Mane even has some fans stuck saying “Bling Blaow Burr” another phrase that he has been using. The album “The State vs. Radric Davis” was promoted by telling fans to pick it up on DecemBURR 8th. The word is essentially a new vocabulary word for Gucci Mane fans (and general rap fans) to use in their everyday life. How should this word be spelled?

Although there have been disputes over the spelling among fans, Gucci has made it clear through his twitter page that it is okay to spell it either “BRRR” or “BURR.” It really does not matter how you spell it as long as you clearly convey your message and keep promoting the movement. As you will hear in most of his songs (with the exception of a few like “My Own Worst Enemy”), Gucci Mane likes to say “BURR!” sometimes a lot. All the long time Gucci fans know exactly about this movement, and the brand new Gucc fans are starting to catch on. Be sure to check out the video above to hear how icy life can get. BURRRRRRRRRRR!
Gucci Mane – Spotlight f. Usher (prod. Polow Da Don) [Single]
For Gucci Mane’s album “The State vs. Radric Davis,” he recorded a blazing hot single called “Spotlight.” This record came about because he was trying to mix it up and give his fans something unexpected, something that they never would have thought possible. This song was created when Gucci Mane was working with Polow Da Don in an Atlanta studio. The superproducer Polow laid down a flaming instrumental and Gucci laid down some verses. Then the idea that Usher should be on the chorus entered their minds. Being a fellow Atlanta musician that has love for Gucci, Usher recorded a hot hook for “Spotlight.”
As of now, you can buy this single on iTunes to show your support for Gucci Mane. It is currently making moves up the charts and most of his fans agree that it is one of his best recordings ever. Although it is more of a mainstream, club record, the streets got nothing but love for Gucci Mane music. Rest assured, he still is going to have street records on the album, so be ready for all aspects of the Gucc Man. He has recorded a music video for “Spotlight” in which Bria Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s daughter) is featured; this is Nicole Brown Murphy’s daughter (Eddie’s former wife). The video was directed by Benny Boom and has some incredible visuals to fit the overall vibe of the song.
This record is definitely appealing to the female Gucci Mane fans out there. Everyone knows that when Usher is on the chorus and Polow Da Don lays down the instrumental, you’ve got a banger on your hands. This is surely a song that people frequently going to clubs will hear; it is a great song for dancing. The entire city of Atlanta is standing behind Radric Davis with such an ill track like this. Nearly all people that are fans of rap music will testify that the Gucci Mane Spotlight featuring Usher and production from Polow Da Don is an extremely hot song.

He has set the bar very high after releasing a single of this caliber, and it’s only a matter of time before more people start catching on and joining the So Icey Movement. Despite the fact that the ATL trappers may not be as inclined to listen to a mainstream oriented track such as “Spotlight,” they always have the Gucci Mane mixtapes to bump in the meantime. The album is going to have some street material, party material (e.g. Wasted Remix f. Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Birdman), so do not count out Gucci Mane; he’s going to keep it 100% real, but he’s also trying to surprise his fan base and keep pushing himself to the next level. Be ready y’all! Note: there are zero BRRR’s / BURR’s from the So Icey Superstar on this track.
