This was not only a good way to get some of 50 Cent’s fans to listen to more Gucci, but it got some Gucci supporters to listen to 50 to see if he could bring that heat for the streets. There’s no arguing who had the hotter verse because it’s all personal preference. The chorus is hot from start to finish, the verses are hot from start to end, and there was some awesome production. The chorus goes: “I just bought a drop just recently, I killed the parking lot just recently, I just bought a whip just recently, I made another flip just recently, I just bust a check just recently, I bust a bad bitch just recently, I’m screamin out who want a piece of me, I just got a deal just recently.” The best part about this track was not only that it was an unexpected collaboration between two heavyweights in the game, but it dropped unexpectedly as well; nobody except these artists knew when it was coming.

There were a couple of questions about this track that were asked including: Why did this track come out? Is it going to be on one of their future albums or anything? As of now, the people will have to wait and see, but the probability of it appearing on an album is doubtful. 50 Cent released the track to show what he had in the stash for his fans lying around to promote his SMS Audio Headphones. Now apparently his headphone line got discontinued or shelved due to changes in the market. Anyways, check out the track above and see what you think!

You may also see the song be called “Show Me,” which is also what is listed on the tape. The instrumental of this track is very catchy and will get the attention of people that have never heard it. There are some drops from The Aphilliates as well as DJ Drama (some Gangsa Grizzle drops in the track). He talks about his women on this track, which features a solid chorus from Gucci in addition to some singing. It is easy to tell that this track appeals to all types of Gucci Mane fans, particularly the females. He talks about shopping for his girls and how he treats them very well. Many fans consider this to be among their favorite tracks by Gucci. There is such a variety of songs that he brings to the world of hip hop and rap music that it is very easy to enjoy all of his music. At the moment, there is not a version without DJ drops.

Gucci Mane – Show Me Something

Since there is not a “No DJ” version of this song or “CDQ,” it means that “Show Me Something” my forever remain a mixtape track. If you don’t know much about the mixtape process, an artist like Gucci Mane records a bunch of songs. After he is finished recording and decides what he wants to be featured on his tape, he finds a DJ (like Drama) and has him do “DJ drops.” By using “drops” it sets the material up to be used only for promotional purposes. Having a DJ also is good because if they are good (like DJ Drama), fans like their drops and are able to really experience a good mixtape. If you don’t yet have the song “Show Me,” be sure to check it out and get it if you find it enjoyable.

This song can also be found on the album “Murder Was The Case” which was released through Big Cat Records. The album version is roughly 3 minutes and 6 seconds in length, while the mixtape versions are 4 minutes (Gucci La Flare) and 3 minutes and 38 seconds (Wilt Chamberlain: Part 3). There is a variation of this song on the mixtape Gucci La Flare 2 featuring Tha Joker called “Aqua Water” with the same chorus and instrumental. Is this one of his best tracks of all time? Well, that is completely up to fans to decide. Earlier polls revealed that the people liked his song “Bricks” the best in 2009. There are so many good tracks, that there is no need to compare this material to his other joints. He has a great ear for beats and only picks out what he thinks will have a high quality sound. Gucci Mane has some of the most catchy lyrics and choruses out of any artist in the game. If you take a listen to this track, it will likely be stuck in your head for awhile, so be prepared.
