Gucci Mane – Speak French (Tongue You Down) f. Jamie Foxx (prod. Bangladesh)
Gucci Mane keeps getting his collaborations on with quality artists. This time he appears on Jamie Foxx’s song entitled “Speak French” produced by Bangladesh. He lays down some hot verses for the ladies on this R&B gem. The superstar Jamie Foxx reached out to Gucci for a cameo and the two made it happen. The song will be featured on Jamie Foxx’s 2010 album. This song was originally released in early November 2009, but has steadily been climbing the charts. All Jamie Foxx fans should enjoy hearing him come back after releasing the album “Intuition” on December 16, 2008. As you already know, Gucci has been collaborating with a lot of artists because they are starting to realize that he is capable of turning ordinary songs into classics.
He’s mastered the ability to add street appeal to tracks as well as verses that the ladies really like. If you haven’t yet heard this track, be sure to check it out and be sure to check out Jamie Foxx’s 2010 album. A lot of people like to hear Gucci on the slower R&B tracks because he has perfected his slow verses. He has appeared on other R&B songs such as Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” as well as “Break Up” by Mario featuring Sean Garrett.
It’s nice to hear a different side of Gucci besides strictly street rap for Zone 6. He is diversifying his overall appeal when he makes these appearances. Not only is it a good career move for the ATL representative, but it makes people more aware of his skill and ability to come up with catchy rhymes. At the beginning of the song you can tell that Gucci La Flare is going to make an appearance because he says “It’s Gucci!” in a way that let’s everyone know. The chorus on this one has a girl singing “I don’t speak French, but I’ll tongue you down.”
Jamie Foxx says “take the elevator up to the twenty second level,” and it clearly gives the impression that this song has some sexual appeal. “I took my diamond off my pinky put it on her tongue, now she can’t close her mouth, and when she smile bright as the sun.” “Lip service, room service, I walk in the club hustlers get nervous.” Some classic lines once again from Gucci! Don’t sleep on this song; it’s bound to have the Atlanta clubs going wild, especially with such a powerful collaboration. Jamie Foxx has great vocals to make the chorus awesome as well.
