Gucci Mane – Wasted Remix f. Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Birdman
When the Gucci Mane song “Wasted” dropped, his fans went crazy. This single is a smash hit and features production from Fatboi with a guest appearance from the self-proclaimed “goon” Plies. The song quickly became the party anthem of the 2009 summer and was frequently played on mainstream radio stations across America. Since this song was so successful, Gucci Mane linked up with OJ Da Juiceman to do a So Icey Remix. Since the Juiceman hopped on the beat with Gucci, artists like Twista, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Birdman, and So Icey’s own, Waka Flocka Flame have all released verses over the beat. The official album remix for the upcoming project “The State vs. Radric Davis” is set to feature the Wasted Remix featuring Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, and Birdman; with two new verses from Gucci Mane himself.
What is the song “Wasted” all about anyways? It’s about partying, having a good time, and well… getting “wasted” (e.g. drunk). Everyone that knows Radric Davis knows that he likes to have a good time partying. The guest appearances are very fitting for the song since Lil Wayne and Birdman like to drink. Gucci really surprised everyone when he was able to link up with Jadakiss and get a verse for this joint; Al Qaida Jada brought some serious heat for this one, y’all should recognize. Most people that want good party music will need to have this song in their collection in order to get the people feeling good.
The overall vibe of the remix is positive and has a lot of energy from both the instrumental and the artists. Gucci even turns up the speed of his rapping / changes up his flow near the end of his verse to show y’all that he can sound ill rapping fast. Although the Wasted Remix has new verses and a lineup of different artists, the instrumental does not change. The original instrumental by Fatboi is fire, so Gucc saw no need to alter it for the remix.
Gucci Mane – Wasted Remix feat. Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Birdman (Official)
You’ve got to honor the fact that other artists laid down some sick verses for the track and the instrumental is hot. Gucci Mane knows what it takes to make a hit and the Remix to Wasted turned out incredible. The song has gotten a lot of attention on the internet, in the streets, around college campuses, and on mainstream radio. Gucci Mane is ready to take over the game with his new music, so be sure to stay updated.

In case you haven’t realized, Gucci Mane puts out more free material for the streets in the form of mixtapes than virtually every other artist in the game. He’s going for the top spot with this album and has picked out (what he believes) is an all-star lineup of tracks to put on the album. If you have all of his free stuff, the least you could do for him is show support by purchasing a copy on December 8, 2009. It will be available in stores as well as on iTunes for people that cannot make it out to a store.
Buying albums from your favorite artists helps keep their movement going. In this case, all fans of Gucc Mane should treat themselves to this album on the 8th. As the cover suggests, (with Gucci in a prison suit), there is surely going to be some serious material on this project. Mark your calendars for “The State vs. Radric Davis” and be sure to let all your fam know about it. Y’all really need to be ready for this, because Gucci is surely going to surprise everyone with this album. The 1017 Brick Squad takeover is going down, mark my words people.
