Gucci Mane – First Day Out (Official Video)
The track “First Day Out” is the track that he released on the first day out of jail in 2010. You can find this track on his “Writing on The Wall” mixtape that also came out and is a straight classic. The official video for “First Day Out” which you can watch below was provided and filmed by Hood Affairs. This track is a fan favorite and really demonstrates a lot of emotional growth in Gucci while he was locked up. It shows that even though you may have been behind bars locked up that your passion for music, keeping it 100% real, and the grind never are lost.
In the interview he did with DJ Drama after his 2009 jail time lock up, he said that he was constantly freestyling, reading a lot, and working to improve his skills. You can take away his studio, but he’ll still go straight off the top and keep coming up with something new and even crazier. When someone’s good, you know that they cannot be stopped from achieving success. Gucci shows all the haters that he’s finally out from his second jail time stint for the alleged lack of community service that he was supposed to serve.
Gucci Mane’s First Day Out (Official Video)
The cool thing about this video is that it was filmed and put online in relatively short order after he was released from jail. The mixtape “Writing on the Wall” was an absolute classic and has tons of original sounding bangers, all of which contain exceptional production. If you haven’t had a chance to check out this music video, be sure to watch above and see what you think of it. Huge shout out to Hood Affairs for linking up with Gucci and getting the exclusive footage! They are always on the grind and constantly get new updates on the latest in the streets (check out www.HoodAffairsOnDemand.com for more information).
Although this video is pretty low budget in comparison to “Everybody Looking” with his Blue Lambo, he keeps it 100% street and this is just the sort of video that you want after getting out of jail. It’s all done with collaborations from friends and camera work by Hood Affairs. In the video, you can see nearly all of Gucci Mane chains and see all of the money that he’s throwing around. You can also see him rapping in the booth and hanging out with his clique.
